NEW MEMBERS APPOINTED TO IMLI’S FINANCIAL AND HUMAN RESOURCES COMMITTEE AND ACADEMIC COMMITTEE
During the 30th Session of IMLI’s Governing Board convened on 14 July 2016 at the IMO Headquarters in London, the IMLI Board of Governors appointed a new member to the Financial and Human Resources Committee and another to the Academic Committee.
Mr. Masamichi Hasebe (Senior Legal Counsel, the Japan Association of Marine Safety) has been appointed as a member of the Financial and Human Resources Committee. Mr. Hasebe has been supporting the Institute’s academic activities, both as a visiting fellow and a member of the Nippon Foundation Scholarship Selection Committee.
Dr. Emmanuel Kofi Mbiah (Chairman, IMO Legal Committee) was also appointed to serve as a member of the Academic Committee. Dr. Mbiah is the first IMLI graduate to be on IMLI’s Governing Board. He has also been supporting the Institute’s academic development through his contributions as a visiting lecturer and his works as the Chairman of IMO Legal Committee. Dr. Mbiah’s most recent contribution to the Institute was an annual prize for the best performing African Scholar.
The Director and Staff of IMLI warmly congratulate Mr. Masamichi Hasebe and Dr. Kofi Mbiah on their new appointment.
