Dr. Ximena Hinrichs Oyarce (Registrar, the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS)) delivered two lectures on 26 April to the IMLI Class of 2020-2021 entitled ‘Consultations and Identification of the Judicial Body’ and ‘Relations between the Tribunal and State Parties.’ Dr. Hinrichs was welcomed to the lectures by Professor David Attard (Director, IMLI), who stressed the important role that she performs as Registrar. The lecture of Dr. Hinrichs forms part of the IMLI Specialized Course on Peaceful Settlement of Maritime Disputes, which was attended by over 100 Government Nominated participants from 79 countries.
