It is with pride that the Institute records that the majority of the IMLI-NF Alumni have been promoted since their graduation from IMLI. Following their training at the Institute, they are holding very important positions in their home countries or at a regional or international level. The Institute notes that some of its Alumni are still holding the senior positions they occupied at the time of joining IMLI, such as head of departments, senior state counsels, members of the judiciary, etc. Few of them have left the public service to be actively engaged in private practice in the field of maritime law.

It is the common belief of both the Institute and The Nippon Foundation that the IMLI-NF Alumni are performing very well and are indeed contributing meaningfully to the implementation and enforcement of international maritime law.
